Lights at Temple Square

Every year, the Mormon Church decorates Temple Square with an amazing display of lights. They begin on the night of Thanksgiving and last through the holidays. This year, my sister and her family were in town for Thanksgiving. We had not visited the lights for many years, so took my nephew Graham.

Tricks with the camera (deliberate or not)

Is that a ghost that just slipped into that church?

Experimenting (purple)

I experimented with my camera a bit while taking these holiday photos. I used different settings and turned the flash on & off. There are some interesting images. You'll see the contrasts here and in the next two posts. Which do you like best?

Walking in a winter wonderland

That's my sister Sydney, her husband Kyle, and my nephew Graham wandering in this fantasy land.

Family

More of my family. Graham is happy - as usual.

People love the lights

Each year, tons of people visit Temple Square to see the lights. On the bottom, I liked the hats this couple were wearing.
